Our Programs

  • This program is designed to provided evidence based Community Doula services to expectant birthing people , specifically those aged 13-25 who come from BIPOC and queer communities located in here in Louisiana.

  • The Birth Warrior Training is Yemaya’s Village Volunteer Doula Training. This rigorous training was curated to provide a culturally competent, trauma informed and evidence based in depth training on how to advocate, educate, and physically support our birthing participants, with an specific emphasis on navigating high risk, queer and black maternal health.

  • This Program was created to provide Reproductive Health education to the Louisiana’s Youth . It consists of Childbirth Education, Lactation Education, with an Emphasis on Reproductive Health sessions. YHE is a safe space that fosters important much needed conversations that are often seen as hard or uncomfortable.

  • This program was created to provide community outreach. We are dedicated to having informative community conversations as well as establishing our Village Closet where the birthing community in need has access to clothing and supplies for both baby and themselves. We believe that as a Village we can create lasting positive change. Who better to participate in these events and conversation than those it will directly impact.
